Cultural Intelligence® 2

DEEP TRANSFORMATION - THE PERSONAL COMPASS FOR EFFECTIVE CULTURE DESIGN

The module to strengthen personal change competence in order to navigate in the given culture or to be able to effectively address and influence change needs.

About the seminar

Corporate cultures are complex, multi-layered entities. They all behave in a unique, particular way when it comes to, for example, dealing with mistakes, decisions, responsibility, and so on. With these often non-obvious patterns, people sometimes get into interactions that can be very different and have different consequences. In the worst case, these interactions between personality and corporate culture can lead to excessive stress, frustration, conflict, etc. Well-being declines, and so may one's performance. As an employee:in, you may be stuck, perhaps even resigned inwardly, thinking "I don't fit in here." Or, as a manager, you "cut your teeth" on the resistance of your own team or organization. At the same time, many companies demand that you participate in the cultural development of the company, which can then lead to even more stress and dissatisfaction.

In our seminar Cultural Intelligence 2, you will be able to experience and describe the culture of your company. You get to know the dynamics between you and the culture of your team or your company better. You will develop ways to increase your personal bandwidth and become more effective again. In the seminar we work very closely with the cultural conditions and your personality to support you in finding exactly the strategy and developing the skills that you personally need in your situation - unfortunately, patent remedies fail far too often because they do not fit the culture or your own personality. The biggest lever of change is your style - if you start to deal differently with the cultural circumstances, you are likely to open up opportunities that were previously out of reach. A productive approach to the environment (cultural intelligence) is a key skill in these dynamic times and in times of cultural change in organizations.

Targets

  • Participants gain a clear understanding of the culture of their environment and are able to make it tangible and discussable.
  • They increase their change competency through clarity and effective skills to navigate the given culture and/or address change needs
  • Understand how their beliefs control their behavior/patterns and how to regulate these beliefs and their behavior to flexibly develop their patterns.
  • Participants develop clarity about their own influence and limitations
  • They understand how the unconscious of the organization influences them and how they can step out of this dynamic and influence it
  • Participants learn to regulate their inner mode so that they can deal productively and with well-being with cultural phenomena in their team or organization

Content

  • How culture is created, how it affects me and what I can do personally to navigate safely in a culture and change it if necessary.
  • The self-organization of people, teams and organizations
  • The unconscious of people and organizations and its impact on the way we work together.
  • My self-organization: my beliefs and automatic patterns that shape my behavior
  • Self-regulation to be able to live helpful forms of flexibility
  • Empathic competence to revive muddled interactions
  • Mindfulness to increase self-awareness and as a basis of effective self-regulation (inward, outward)
  • Experimental attitude and approach for personal development
  • Interactions of own views with the views of the team/company
  • Experimental attitude and emotional risk management
  • Skills to address and change critical impact of culture on effectiveness and efficiency, such as metacommunication, self-awareness and self-regulation

Benefit for the company

Companies need managers and employees who consciously and creatively deal with the company's culture and do not accept it as given or unchangeable. Personalities are needed who challenge culture, but do not overtax it. In order to be able to accompany sustainable changes internally, it is necessary to build up specific competencies and to qualify project managers in one's own company. Your participants in the seminar will be enabled to ensure that

  • change becomes effective
  • cultural characteristics that are conducive or obstructive to the successful implementation of strategic goals are made transparent.
  •  the importance of culture for the continuous development of the company becomes clear. further development of the company becomes clear
  • the ability to develop the culture is built and integrated into everyday life
  • Together with managers and employees, a culture can be created that is conducive to the success of the company and the effectiveness of the individual employees
